Paul’s role as lead Director provides a wealth and depth of Interior Design, Work Place and Change Management experience stretching from commercial office fit out and refurbishment projects through to historic listed property, operational IT centres and industrial facilities for major utility clients and boutique retail outlets.

Away from the office Paul has a very active family life, enjoys rugby, clay pigeon shooting and has a keen interest in horticulture and is a governor of the local village school.

Richard Hughes, Design Director

Design Director

Richard’s role as Design Director brings many years of empirical knowledge to the practice from years spent in a real estate environment. His passion for design and detailing is only surpassed by his understanding of statute and Building Control regulations, which bring a unique and vital expertise to the team.

Away from the office Richard is a family man who combines his dedication to all weather fitness with a passion for the design aspects of Formula One motor racing. Richard is a keen artist regularly sketching and painting with oils, watercolour and acrylic media and is a life time member of the real ale society (CAMRA).

Ian Mortimer, Surveying Director

Surveying Director

Ian’s role as Surveying Director follows on from 16 years working in the industry. Initially carrying out measured building and topographical surveys, he moved on to manage a team of Surveyors and most recently running his own successful survey company.

Ian’s free time is mainly spent with his family, although whenever possible he likes to indulge in his passions for music and classic scooters, regularly attending gigs and restoring and riding his beloved Lambrettas..!

John Burke, Associate Director

John Burke

Associate Director

John's role as Associate Director provides a wealth of educational, commercial and residential knowledge to the team. His experience ranges from designing, planning and delivering public sector projects such as schools, shopping centres, care homes, houses, bars, cafes, restoration works to scheduled ancient monuments and listed buildings.

Outside the office John has a very active family life, enjoys learning languages, a dedicated cyclist and enjoys cinematography.

Catherine Clark, Senior Interior Designer

Senior Interior Designer

As senior designer Catherine thrives on creating interior schemes which exceed client expectation
with impeccable space planning and attention to detail nothing is left to chance.

Away from the office Catherine enjoys a busy family life. Her children have led her to getting
heavily involved in various voluntary roles including the school PTA and a leader of a Beaver
Scout group. In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit by running and more recently through boxing
training!

Eamonn McCormack, BDS Apprentice Designer

BDS Apprentice Designer

Eamonn is an apprentice designer with a massive desire to learn and help across the full spectrum
of services proffered by both BDS (Architects & Interior Designers) and DCADD (Measured Building
Surveyors).
He is blessed with an insatiable appetite to embrace all the current technology and software that we
are obliged these days to use.

Away from the office, Eamonn keeps very active as a keen rambler around London, either jogging
or walking, armed with a camera to ‘capture the moment’

Alan Cheung, Surveyor

Surveyor

Alan’s knowledgeable expertise rises from more than 20 years of experience in measured building
surveys. His clients range from large office buildings to residential. Supermarkets, Old High street
buildings, fast food outlets, petrol stations, garage workshops to large retail units.

Away from the office Alan enjoys driving, badminton, squash, tennis, golf and if that isn’t enough to
keep him fit, his family life with 3 kids keeps him busy!

David Day, Architectural Technologist

David Day

Architectural Technologist

David started out as a traditionally trained draftsman working for timber framed housing specialist
before moving onto working in multi disciplined consultancy’s where he swapped his drawing board
for a computer using CAD in the early 90’s.
With a background in both architecture and structural detailing David is able to balance the
architectural aesthetic with the practicality of construction. He has worked on a wide range of projects
from the roofs of St Paul’s Cathedral to the basements of the Gherkin.

Scott Kennedy, Surveyor

Surveyor

Scott has a wealth of experience working on small and large scale architectural projects as well as undertaking measured building survey projects. He has worked on 5* hotel projects as well as major high street stores and commercial units.

Away from the office Scott enjoys long walks with his dog, hill walking and is currently preparing to undertake the West Highland Way. He also enjoys live music and attempting to play guitar.
